    Rough's 2005 hike of Vermont AT Section 1 - Killington to Woodstock. This 20.1 mile three-day hike takes you along the Appalachian Trail-only section starting from Maine Junction just north of Route 4 and going all the way to Route 12 just north of Woodstock, Vermont. Rough overnights in his hammock at Stony Brook Shelter and Winturri Shelter and meets AT thru-hikers. The terrain is not as rugged as the Long Trail north of Maine Junction, but is rewarding in its own right.

  • AT2: Route 12 to Hanover, NH (31 min 09 sec)
    Rough's 2005 hike of Vermont AT Section 2 - Woodstock to Hanover, NH. This 22.3 mile two-day hike along the Appalachian Trail in Vermont completes the AT section for Rough. He overnights near Thistle Hill Shelter and ends by crossing the Connecticut River into Hanover, New Hampshire. Interaction with AT hikers is a highlight.
