Pine-Cobble Vs AT Approach?

It doesn't seem that here is much difference between the two save the AT N Adams start may be a bit longer. The contours don't look that much different. My only reasoning is that The White Goat outfitter for last minute tweaks to my kit would be the deciding factor. Thoughts gratefully welcomed barring the latter. Gar

In case anyone is looking here - the North Adams route takes a bit longer and involves a bit more elevation gain.  The one advantage of North Adams and the AT that occurs to me is that there is good camping not far from the trailhead, so that if you were starting late in the day (or finishing and felt it might be too late to hitch a ride) - it would be convenient to set up for the night there.
